It has been already long time from the time that Angelos with our friend Lorenzo, Italian - French scuba instructor at Hippocampos, had found several unknown (for us that time) snails. Some kind of gastropod mollusc.
They were wonderful small animals with a bright green colour, as the sea grasses they were living on (Caulerpa prolifera). They had two "antennas" and some of yellow (and/or white) spots on their body. We had never seen them before and we could not recognize them... They, even, were not found in our books with Mediterranean Sea fauna... Bern (diver from Germany) had made a photo with his (film) camera.
And as later they did disappear; they did stay a mystery for us...
Finally Lorenzo found it at an Italian web site some days a go! It is a snail from the family of "Oxynoidae" and its name is "
Oxynoe olivacea".
We are happy to, finally, find the name and family of that small "unknown" snail!
