The Open Water Diver course is divided into three segments:
Academic training, Confined-water training and Open-water training.
These segments will be taught to you in five modules. Each module has both an academic training and a confined-water session. Academic training take place as you use the Open Water Diver Manual (in your language), see the O.W.D. Video (optional) and attend your instructor’s lecture in a pleasant place, drinking your favorite drink !! This course gives you the basic principles and knowledge that you need for Safe and Enjoyable diving.
In the Confined-water training you will learn to use the scuba equipment and the basic skills of diving. The Open-water dives allow you to apply what you have learned during the knowledge development and skills development segments at an actual dive site, under the guidance of your experience PADI instructor.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be awarded either the PADI Open Water Diver certification card (minimum age 15 years) or the PADI Junior Open Water Diver certification card (minimum age 12 years) which is recognize in all over the world. Professional dive store personnel, boat operators and other professionals in diving will ask to see your certification card before they will allow you to rent or buy scuba equipment, obtain air for your scuba tanks or participate in diving activities.
